You probably have a nickname!? Tell us about the funny story behind!
Back in the days when we set new standards in jibbing streetrails I always had the nickname JP. Pretty funny actually. But the one which stayed always the same is Jensan as it is probably easier to pronounce as Jens for all the english native speakers. In Japan I´m called Jen like the japanese money ¥en.

Do you remember your first day on a snowboard?
Oh yes for sure! It was pretty funny to go snowboarding with my skateboard posse as we all had our first day on a board where our feet were locked into something. That felt so weired and turns where pretty much impossible with the hardboots we were wearing. So the best was to go straight towards the kicker and just pop out! Yeahhhh J

How did you learn new  tricks back in the days?
Same like nowadays. Watching videos over and over! Rewind and press slow motion. Especially Jamie Lynn and his frontside toe edge spins and jibbing skills made me go out and try it in the snow!

Why did you never stop snowboarding since then?
Stupid question. Of course I love that shit! Being out there in the nature, being independent, being creative like an artist and coming home with a smile on my face.

You probably have visited a bunch of different ski resorts already. What is your favorite place, what was the most exotic and where would you like to live and ride in the future?
Thanks to snowboarding and my sponsors I had the chance to travel the world. There have been a punch of exotics on my journey like Chile, Argentina, Russia, Ukraine, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan of course and many more. The most exotic were probably the Volcanos I´ve ridden and they all had something magic! My favorite place is still the alps here as they offer everything from mad powder lines to nowadays even sick parks. Hhhm and for living I probably would choose the lonely island with lefts, rights and pointbreaks just in front of it.

You  also must have seen tons of snowboard videos in the past. What´s your favorite video part and why do you remember it?
Oh yeahh I´ve seen for sure tons of great videos in the past, but nowadays it´s just a flood of whacky crew videos which try to imitate their heroes, so I don´t care anymore too much! Back then Jamie Lynn made it look so easy, Peter Line and JP will be all time heroes in what they brought into snowboarding and of course David Benedeks spins in all directions. Dudes and you should defenitely check out the Heavy Hitters and Squad teamvideo!

Let us know about your favorite trick! Do you have any specials in your trick bag?
A clean Method or a huge BS 180 still feels so sick! Now I´m more working on my Switch Powder Turns.

What do you like most about Völkl Snowboards?
That the products are so technically advanced and therefore give you the best ride! Thanks to all that development we did in the last years you now can choose from a wide range of products that really fit riders needs! I swear on the Squad and my baby the Jibster! Thanks to the HorrorshockAbsorber they don´t break anymore. Oh yeah and the whole Völkl family is a bunch of cool, creative and motivated shredders!

What about entertainment? Let us know about your gigabytes of MP3s and videos!
Beats, beats, beats! From Hip to Hop and Electro to Pop I can listen to all kinds of music. It´s very important because music and especially sick beats keep me moving!

How do you make your stomach happy? You for sure have some favorite drinks and food!?
Pizza, Pasta, Sushi and Mexican are my favourites. Traditional Bavarian or tyrolean food like Kässpatzn or Schlitzkrapfen rock for sure. And very important always without meat as I´m vegetarian since a very long time! Oh yeah and for sure clean fresh water, a real beer, a CubeLibre and of course coffee makes me smiling.

What was your best experience so far in life? Can you explain a little?
There have been quite many just to talk about one. Either in life or after an injury or with friends. I´m fortunate enough to be able to do what I love to do. Life is good and the best what could have happened! I´m ready for more.

And finally what is your biggest dream?
Enjoying a peacefull life without all the media hyped problems.

Thanks to all the people I´ve met throughout the years, friends and fools, and of course my sponsors for all the support to make this possible! You guys rock. See you out there in the snow!
